Wednesday Weigh In

Starting Weight 320
Last Week's Weight 255
This Week's Weight 254

Another 1 pound week...but hey, still coming down. I'm getting more on track with my food, but still haven't gotten back on track with the exercising. I've been so tired lately and not sleeping well. Not sure what that's about.

Normally I would be pretty upset that I'm not losing my normal three pounds...but here's my thinking -- the last time I was at this weight, I was there for a couple years.  I'm not sure about the science behind 'set points' but I think this was mine for awhile and it might be something that my body remembers.  It seems like when I get to those points (280 was the last one) I hover around there for a little bit then start losing again.

Going to the doctor's PCP wants to see me every three months while on this journey, along with the visits and support groups with the bariatric surgeon and the 6 months appointments with the endocrinologist, I feel very supported by the medical people in my life.  And of course I have great support from family and friends.

Today I'm sporting some new scrub was getting to the point that my pants were falling down a lot and I was tripping over them.  I picked up some cheap ones at Wallmart and they are more comfortable. I'm still getting used to being a smaller size.

My goal is to be in the LOWER half of the 200's by November.

I'm pretty sure it's an attainable goal.

  2. That's actually a really interesting thought around the "set point." You'll have to see if you follow an equal pattern along the way! But congrats on the loss!!!

  3. A lb a week is 52 lbs a year...pretty spiffy if you ask me. :)
