what I ate today....only look if you want to see a disaster...

It started out okay....but had a bad day and it went down hill from there.....I need to so figure out a way to separate my emotions from food....  But here's my day...I'm being honest.

I got off of caffeine before the surgery but slowly have been reintroducing it to my diet.  I can't help myself, I love coffee....I don't drink a full cup though....and I don't plan on going back to my three or four cups a day. I have a couple tbsp of Natural Bliss creamer and this is my mini breakfast.
 See some left over

So I have to pack three of my meals for work. One meal at 8, one at 11 and one at 2
One meal is 1.5 oz of Turkey Jerky, there's a big protein bang for your buck!
I love these protein bars...20g of protein whoo hoo.
My third meal, 1 oz of low sodium turkey, a babybel light cheese and some carrots. You know only three of these baby carrots give you your daily requirements of A...cool.
Then I had a hard busy day at work...so see these chicken nuggets my son is eating...I had one.
and then I had 10 of these buttery crackers (man they are good)
At dinner I got myself back on track.  I had to go shopping and drive the smaller one to karate. I bought turkey burgers for dinner but when I got home found out we didn't have propane, so we ordered Jimmy Johns. I get the Beach club, no mayo add cucumbers and onions. And then I cut it in thirds (two more meals--I'm such a cheap date)

It's boss's day tomorrow and I said I would bring dessert...I tried a new recipe, so of course I had to try it out to make sure it tasted okay.  They so did!  Individual lemon bars.
Here's the present I made from the office staff (someone else got some gift certificates)...but I ended up eating two of the twizzlers...since, you know they didn't fit into the jars.
I can say that I have changed..pre VSG I would have done so much more damage and I wouldn't have recorded my 'damage' I would have just chucked it to a lost day.  But today, where as I didn't stay on plan, I didn't go too far overboard.  I'm not really beating myself up. I still stayed under 1000 kcals AND I worked out on the elliptical today.

I don't actually think my carbs are too low, this is just the break down from calorie count dot com of my day.

    1. I carry jerky in my purse as my 'just in case I'm without food choices' choice. Or for breakfast :D

    1. I was actually surprised I was under 1000 kcals that day...I just should have used a protein choice instead of a high sugary choice like the cookies and candies, kcals would have been the same but better for my body....especially since I had a big cheat day with chinese food and ice cream on Sunday :D

  6. We are all entitled to our "bad" days. Being honest and accountable for it is what's important. Keep it up!! Love the Pinterest goodies, btw. I can't wait to make those Lemon Bars.

    1. so addicted to Pinterest. I actually saw the recipe and realized it was way too much work, so I just used a package of premade cookie dough for the crust and bought prepared lemon curd...it was ridiculously easy!
