Wednesday Weigh-in, actually on Wednesday

Starting Weight 320
Last Week's Weight 261
This Week's Weight 258

I hit the 60 pound park...wow.

So let's talk about hair....I didn't worry so much about the loss of hair because I have a lot of it.  Well, now I'm not sure I have enough to sustain the loss I'm experiencing (and yes, I'm taking Biotin).  When I wash my hair, the hair coming out gets tangled in my fingers. Today the shower wasn't draining as quickly and when I explored why, it's because of my hair. I have to clean my brush out a couple times a week.

It's a little crazy.

I would much rather have the be cold all the time...I'm waiting for that one!

Any other suggestions besides biotin on what to do with hair loss? Has anyone tried that shampoo, Ovation?

Other than that, even with that, I'm happy with my results. Yay me.

  1. my hair fell out for 3-5 months after surgery. It came out to the point I was cleaning my brush and drain every other day. Its the stress from surgery..it should stop soon!

  2. Biotin and more protein did nothing for me. It finally just timed itself out and stopped coming out in clumps. There's not a whole lot you can do about it. Sorry I don't have better advice for you.

  3. I experienced the same thing. Good thing we have thick hair, huh? :)

    It'll even out eventually!

  4. Congrats on the loss!

I am still losing hair too. Anesthesia does it. It will stop. Keep up the protein. :)

  5. I did the biotin for a long time but I don't know that it helped. I had the double whammy of weaning from breastfeeding as well, so it was pretty bad for a while. And I'm still always cold!

Good luck and just make sure you're getting your protein in as well. It's a scary thing to wait out, for sure.

  6. My hair started falling out several months after surgery. I, too, had a lot of hair, but much less now. It doesn't quite fall out as much now, but it also hasn't thickened back up either...my own fault...I am bad about not taking vitamins.

  7. Same experience as others. I started losing hair at an alarming rate around month 2. Now at month 5 1/2 it has leveled off considerably. Yours will do the same. People say that but its hard to believe. I know...
